The Marazon Mentorship Program offers trainers
and program leaders a systematic approach to training, coaching,
and mentoring program staff. The program supports on-going
staff development related to Marazon and DAP practice. The
Program includes forms and formats for 4 classrooms. Forms
include baseline Marazon and DAP Self-Assessment Checklists,
baseline Marazon and DAP Observer Checklists, Adult Interaction:
Observation and Response Form, Classroom/Staff Training Play,
and the Master Mentor Plan. Staff plans of action can be easily
integrated into the Marazon Professional
Development System .
A Marazon Mentor is an early childhood teacher
or trainer who makes a commitment to coach, model for, and
form a collaborative partnership with one or more Marazon
teachers over time. The role of the Marazon Mentor is to provide
on-going support to staff enabling them to successfully implement
The Marazon System and developmentally appropriate practices
(DAP). The Marazon Mentor is also responsible for challenging
staff to initiate, maintain, and continually improve upon
Marazon and DAP practices.
